The Paterson Institute for Cancer Research is a leading cancer research Institute within The University of Manchester, core funded by Cancer Research UK.
The Institute requires an Administrative Services Coordinator to take responsibility for a busy admin office within a scientific research environment. The role will provide a professional administrative support to the Institute. The role will also manage the Office Administration on a day to day basis to ensure maximum office efficiency and effectiveness.
The post holder would provide a room booking service for the Institute staff and they would be expected to ensure any catering, room layouts, equipment and facilities, name badges and documents are dealt with accurately and efficiently. The Institute is host to many international guest speakers and important visitors; this role is required to arrange travel, accommodation and meeting schedules for these events. This role is varied and demanding at times, a busy impulsive workload has to be carefully balanced with ongoing general administrative tasks.
The successful candidate requires a degree (or equivalent) or experience in a similar role. The post holder would also require experience of working within a busy office environment and have excellent organisational and IT skills.
